Amalgamation Conditionally Approved
Conditional approval was granted by the regulatory authorities on 23 August 2010 to the amalgamation of the Batemans Bay Bowling and Recreation Club with the Catalina Country Club. We now have 90 days to complete a number of commercial actions including the transfer of assets and liabilities, transfer of employees and membership, and hold the members meeting for the voluntary wind-up of the company. This approval will now allow the commencement of operational efficiencies and strategic initiatives including the recruitment of a business development manager for the combined entity, the commencement of our new Clubs Rewards program and the rebranding of the bowling club (that is now trading as ClubCatalina Sports & Leisure Club). The combined entity will retain the company name of Catalina Country Club but the Beach Road club shall trade as (ClubCatalina) Country Club.
