TaylorMade Penta TP Golf Ball
Be one of the first to get your hands on the new Penta TP Golf Ball from TaylorMade.
FIRST 5 LAYER TOUR BALL
Golf Balls have seen some amazing developments in recent years - with the advent of multi-layer balls generating the previously unheard of combination of both distance and short game spin.
TaylorMade’s Penta TP takes us to a new level of performance with the first ever five solid-layer tour-calibre ball. What’s different about the Penta is that it these 5 layers give performance across all of the 5 key shots in golf- with the Driver, Long-iron, Mid-iron, Short-irons and around the greens. Where previously golfers have had to trade-off and sacrifice in one or more of these areas, with the Penta TP they don’t have to make that choice.

|
The Big Idea Designed for use by serious avid golfers, the TaylorMade Penta TP has been designed so that golfers no longer have to decide which area of their game they have to sacrifice to achieve optimal performance. The combination of optimal feel, distance, control and spin delivers an all-round performance unlike any other ball. |
|
The Right Golfer I need a ball that performs across the board- the short game spin I get from my current ball is great, but I’m losing distance and control with my driver and irons I don't hit a lot of greens, so I use a distance ball to get as close to the green as I can, but with less control on chips and pitches, I struggle to get up and down |

Tip of the Month: Putting in the wind
|
|
The Situation The wind is howling, and when you putt you can almost feel the breeze blow your stroke off line. The ball isn't behaving very well, either. When you take your normal putting stance with a taller posture and your feet close together, you make it easy for the breeze to jostle you out of position. |
1.
Move your feet outside your shoulders for extra balance, and play the ball in the centre of your stance.
2. Grip down on the shaft, with your right hand near the end of the handle
3. Flex your knees and bend more from your hips
This compact setup is less affected by wind and allows you to keep your stroke on line.

Fitting Spotlight: Ping AFS Fitting System
|
Performance Golf is proud to be welcoming our first PING AFS Wood Fitting System. We're extremely excited to have this system to help us as it gives us 100 plus more fitting options than we have previously had. With the great success of the G10 and Rapture V2 series this will make finding that perfect PING driver that much easier. This PING fitting system has taken from the best of what other companies have done so far and taken it to the next level. Organisation:This is most mobile fitting system we have ever seen to date. It is an extremely mobile carry bag that has a lot of custom pockets to accommodate all the different head and shaft options. This is a huge plus when fitting a client as you can take the whole entire fitting bag with you without any hassle.
|
|
Conclusion:Overall we are extremely pleased with the first head and shaft component fitting system PING has offered. It's going to be a great tool to work with and we know the selection of options will only grow as time progresses. Many Members to date have experienced a PING fit, increased their driver distance and accuracy. I encourage all Members to book in for a driver fit if you are looking for distance and accuracy.
Fitting In Brief: Is your Putter fitted to your game?
Equally as important as being fitted for a set of clubs and driver is your PUTTER. For years many golfers have purchased their putters off the rack purely from feel and looks. Most of these putters are 35 inches long, in which many manufacturer say is average.
Why do putters come in different shapes and sizes? This is to try and reach all golfers' wants and needs in the feel and looks department,
But who is average? Just like your irons or driver an extremely high percentage of golfers are not average!
Well I'm here to improve your average in 2010.,
Have you heard of the C groove YES Putter?
C-Grooves ‘lift’ the back of the ball to start it rolling forward.
The naked eye can’t see it, but when a regular putter face impacts a golf ball it imparts in loft, causing skidding, side- and even back-spinning before the ball can begin rolling forward on the green. So the ball is more apt to be affected by any miniscule aberration it encounters. Even when struck on the right line, these skips, spins and skids are the principal causes of missed putts.
